Traveller’s Diarrhoea Medication

Price:

£39 including VAT

Up to 70% of travellers are affected by travellers’ diarrhoea, depending on destination and season, making it the most common travel health-related ailment.

An intestinal antibiotic can be used to treat traveller's diarrhoea in adults when the diarrhoea is not accompanied by fever or blood in the stools, or 8 or more unformed (soft or liquid) stools in the last 24 hours.

This service is for patients who wish to take a 3 day course of antibiotic on holiday with them. It is suitable for adults from the age of 18.

Please note that the medication will only be supplied if it is considered appropriate after a consultation with a trained pharmacist. If medication is not supplied, a full refund will be given.
